SQL Server Error Messages - Msg 109

SQL Server Error Messages - Msg 109 - There are more columns in the INSERT statement than values specified in the VALUES clause. The number of values in the VALUES clause must match the number of columns specified in the INSERT statement.

The error its self tells about the issue... it means the no of columns provided in the query before value clause are higher then the value provided after value clause.

Check the below insert query to elaborate more.....

INSERT INTO [dbo].[Employees] ( [FirstName], [LastName], [Gender] )
VALUES ( 'Randheer', 'Parmar' )

You can see in this example the value f gender is not Provided.
